Geometry - My Glen Innes Map

Directions to the Train Station:
1. Turn right on to Pt england Rd head North West.
2. Then take the second turn on to Apriana Rd (North)
3. Take the first turn leaft heading (west).

Directions to Glen innes Aqatic center (pools):
1. Turn right out of Pt England school and head North west on pt england school.
2. Turn right up Elstree heding North.
3. When you pass omaru creek you will see the swimming pools. 

Butterfly life cycle

Stage 1 and 2

Do you ever wonder how butterfliesare made?

As  the sesame seed size egg lays on the outside of the leaf the mother lays hundreds of egg. The egg will turn from light green to light grey when its light grey it will be ready to Squirmin its way out of the egg. Once its out  it will eat the rest of the egg,the egg has vitamin C in it so it is healthy and Nutritious.

Stage 3 and 4

When the caterpillar has eaten the rest of the egg it will eat the milkweed leaves it would eat and eat.The caterpillar would shed its skin four to five times. When its time the Caterpillar would crawl over to a branch and find a comfortable spot and hang its selves upside down and turn itself into a cocoon shaped Chrysalis.

Stage 5 and 6

The caterpillar will take about three to four weeks to turn into a Chrysalis but when its ready to came out it will spread its wings. It will take the butterful butterfly about seven minutes four the blood to get into all of the blood vesels  and for the wing to grow bigger and stronger. In this stage of life the butterfly will fly off to find a mate and to start this life cycle all over again.

The Birds nest

We had to read a story about a boy named Tom he woke up and looked out the window to see a mother bird and her friteend baby chick in their nest which was made in a gum tree. We had to read the story and Answer the question.

The Bird Nest

Tom woke up and turned on the lamp. He pushed the sheet and Woollen rugs off himself and staggered to the Window, which was partly open. He looked up to see a full moon and there, in the moonlight, sitting on a nest in a massive gum tree, was a mother bird and her noisy baby chicks. The nest, made from twigs, straw, wool and dead grass, was swaying wildly from side to side. As it did so, the mother bird tried to calm her frightened young ones by chirping softly to them.

Swimming

At pt England school were starting to go swimming. In our three classes we go swimming in our math class. I really like going in our maths class because all of my friends are in my maths class and when were finessed swimming the first 10 or 15 people that are changed into there school clothes and dreid  get free time.

When we go swimming we go at the Glenn innes swimming centre,we get put into a groups, group 1, group 2 and group 3. I am in group 3. We have instructors to teach us how to swim better and if were listing and doing what were told then if we have time at the end we have a couple of racers or free time.

year five & six camp

Here at camp were all having lots of fun I had so much fun going kauking.When we got down their the first thing we did was hear the instructions of how to use a kyak and how to keep safe.I'm so excited for Friday becaues were going swimming at Mangare pools.

The first Activete we did was cooking. The girls cooked chesse scones and the boys made corn fritters and smors For Afterrnoon tea.Then we did top town After that we did Kayaking and then we went GI pools It was so much fun.

Year five & six camp

Year Five & six camp is were we camp out on the field we also sleep in tents and get into groups with leaders and I am one of those leaders. I am a team leader with Collin and our team is called The Care Takers and our team teacher is Mrs lavakula. A Team leader is a person who is in control of a group and some one who will be a Great role model. Camp leaders also have to make up dance moves for our camp item.Were doing our dance to Trouble maker we had to pick a song out of a box and read it out loud.

At camp we play lots of games outdoor and inside ones. A lot of our teachers and Parents are helping out with all of this stuff they help out with the food right to making sure we go to sleep all right .On Friday were going swimming at the Manuera pools Its going to be so much fun. At the Manuera pools theres a big slide were you drop then fly up in the air and splash in the water. You can also bomb in the pools.

Are you woundering were we sleep? Well were all sleeping in tents Thats right tents.We have to provide ourselves with a sleeping bag and a pillow.We don,t need to bring a tent they provide us with tents and we don't have one all to ourselves we have to share with other pepole from your own group.boys stay in there tents and girls stay in our tents so we get put into a tent with a friend.

 Im so looking forward to camp I hope I have fun like last year.

Writing test (A Good friend)

This is my writing test we had to do a explanation of what a good friend is.

This term our topic is Tiaki Toanga that means to care,to care for our people, to care for our school, to care for our efforts and to care for our success.

A good friend,It doesn't matter what they look like it doesn't matter what shape they are it doesn’t even matter what they wear you know they're a good friend if their. Nice,caring,thoughtful,protects you,has your back and Supports you. They can turn your frown upside down.

If you see someone with no friends or alone you should go up to them and ask them if they want to play with you,invite them to play in your game or ask them Questions about him or her. You never know you might have the same things in common.

If someones bulling you,teasing or just being a big meany then you know thats not a good friend. Because good friends don’t do that. You need to ignore people who do that and find people who look after you and care about you. If you fall down and hurt yourself a good friend will help you up and ask you if you're all right and they might take you to get a plaster or to clean it up.

Me and my friend Brooklyn are best friends thats only causes we care for each other and are nice to each other if we were fighting all the time then we wouldn’t be friends so if you be nice care and look after others around you then you could have a million friends. 

Ambassardors speech!

I am apart of the seven Ambassadors and we had to say a speech in front of visitors. This was our first time and we had to talk to ten people. I was felling excited and nervous. I had practised ever night and some times just before I went to school. First we said our introduction that was all about ourselves then we moved onto our school we talked about how we use netbooks and other technology and in the middle we played some movies, At the end we had to talk about a blog post that we did last term. Mine was about a post I did in the holidays called Arts in Crafts it was all about the stuff I created in the holidays. I made a painting, a caterpillar tooth brush holder, a golden leaf and other stuff. When the speech was finished I was felling happy. I really hope they liked my speech.

Netball

This year I trialled to become an Netball player for 2014 and guess what they picked me and some of my friends to be in a team. I started playing netball when I was a Year four and my coach was Mr Jacobson our team was called the Patriots. Ever since then I've loved netball I try out ever year and ever year Ive gotten into team.

Use your W.I.T.S

This is my explanation of how to use your WITS.

Have you ever been bullied before? you should use your wits because they can help you when your anyoned or angry. Wits can also help in a problem or in a disagreement.

When your angry do you just feel like hitting something? You should use your wits just walk away and find something to do to take your mind of it. If you hit them you should put yourself in their shoes and how would you feel if someone hit you?

I is for ignore it, you need to ignore something like if someones being a bully or if someones being mean.If you're in a fight or something worst and you want to fix it. Its simple just ignore it. If this doesn't work maybe T will help you.

Now for T, T is for talk about if it is getting to tough to handle a problem or if you disagree with your friend talk about.

If the problem has gone to far seek help go find a teacher or an adult to help out with the problem. Because S means seek help.

My statistical investigation

I was investigating what the Average temperature was for the Afternoon on the 19th of Feb. I found out that the Temperature rised higher at 4 o'clock and dropped at 11 o'clock.
I conclude that when the sun goes down the 
temperature drops with it. 

The easiest chart to read would be the at the top. I think its the easiest because it tells you when it goes higher and when it goes lower.
