FIO Fraction follow ups
Last week I finished all my maths work so here is my extra work that I did I learned about turning fractions into decimals maybe you could try make up some of your own questions to answer.
4 a ) their all whole numbers which b) means their are no decimals or remainders
1 A Green B Black C it’s not even 2 A 7/10 B 1/10 3 I think she should take D because she gets to take 12. With the others she can only take 10 or 9 so this would be the best option.
1 it is 0.5
2 I got 0.75
3 a) 1/10 b) 1/4 c) 4/5 d) 1/3 e) 3/2 f) 5/8 g) 2/3 h) 7/4 I) 3/7 J) 1/6

The Friendly Eel
Once upon a time Mary-Ann and her brother Martin went to a little island named Mitiaro for a holiday and while they were over there they made friends with some of the locals. Mary heard that her friends and the rest of the village children were all gonna meet up and hang out at one of the island’s Cave pool’s named Vai Nauri. Mary wanted to go so she told her brother and he thought it sounded cool.So without their parents permission they sneaked off to go swimming with the local children. |
This is Vai Nauri |
When they reached Vai Nauri they saw the local children and ran to them. But before anyone went swimming one of the locals said a prayer to bless the water and to make sure that they were all safe and when the last word was said which was “Amen” all the kids jumped into the water and some even climbed up onto a cliff to jump off. Mary talked and swam with her friends while Martin had bombing competitions and went diving under the water to find rocks.
This is the island Mitiaro |
On the ground near Mary’s foot slithered up a Eel, Mary screamed at the sight of this Eel but then remembered that the Eel’s on this island can talk so she asked the Eel “Hey do you know how we can get home?” The Eel replied “ Of Course just follow me” . So Mary and her brother went into the water and held onto the Eel’s tail and off they went. The Eel swam them home just in time before their parents come back from feeding the pigs.
Mary and her brother got so worried their hearts were racing when their parents asked them what they had did that day . Mary-Ann said “just playing outside” But Martin and her both knew that was a lie. So the next day they told their parents what they actually did, the parents weren't happy that they lied and didn't ask for permission but they were happy that they were home safe and next time ask their parents first.
Mary-Anne and Martin left Mitiaro and will always remember the fun they had at Vai Nauri and the friendly Eel that helped them home.

My Nouns
Here is my writing test I have highlighted the different Nouns. Nouns are grouping words to group the different words. I tried my best:)
A common noun is the name of people, places, creatures, objects.
For example: teacher, school, mice and chalk.
A proper noun is the name of a particular person, place, thing, business or organisation.
For example: Kate, Rotorua, Milford Sound, The Warehouse.
A collective noun is the name given to a group of things.
For example: a flock of birds or the Crusaders.
An abstract noun is something you can't see, hear, touch or taste.
These can be qualities, emotions or ideas.
For example: courage, power, creativity, independence.
“Kait are you ready” said Sam, Kaitlyn and Sam where two ordinary tenagers. They were going on a camp in the Mountain river hills where they were going to hang out with their friends Molly and Patrick. So off they went by the time they had reached the forest night had already fallen so they quickly set up their tents and went to sleep.
The next day they all went swimming in one of the rivers near from where they had set up their stuff. At night time they all toasted marshmallows over their fire which they had made out of wood. While they toasted marshmallows they told scary stories and one of the stories, Molly said was about a man who lived in the forest many years ago he was a serial killer murdering anyone who dares step foot in the forest. Kaitlyn got chills up her spine while Sam nearly fell asleep. After a while they all got tired and went to sleep but Kaitlyn was still shaken by the story and couldn’t go to sleep but eventually after a while she slowly dozed off to sleep.
A Sunny day had come on by and the group thought of taking a hike through the forest when they had came back Kaitlyn soon realised she had left her watch in the forest. So she went out by herself to go and get it from a distance she saw something glinting in the trees as she obliviously walked closer to it she saw a man standing holding her watch while behind him grew a slow and angry purple sky making him seem super scary. She asked the man “Excuse me is that my watch” He replied in his wretched old voice “This one ohh I think it might be” “Yes that one may I have it back please?” Said Kaitlyn in her tiny petite little voice. The man chucked it near her feet and when s\he bent down to pick it up he had disappeared.
She thought that he might have been the crazy serial killer but she never had the courage to ask. Now she will never know if that was him or not. Kaitlyn has never told anybody about that time from this day since.
Easter
Easter to me is a day to remember and celebrate Jesus Christ and the great things he has done. Easter to me is a day of sacrifice. Easter to me is like a day to reflect. Easter to me is a day to be happy.Easter to me is a day of love and family. Jesus Christ died on Good Friday and he resurrected on Easter Monday
Sometimes on Easter me and my family make a big feast to eat, we make things like BBQ chicken, Sausages, Potato salad and Chop Suey. I guess that when we do this we bring the family together to celebrate the life of Jesus Christ.

Short film Show not Tell
In a forest far far away a lost Unicorn grazed through the tough muddy grass in search for a new rider. When he noticed a child playing and giggling with the forest animals. He took notice that that child was the Princess, daughter of King George and Queen Mary.
He took this as a perfect opportunity to see if she was worthy to be his next rider. So he let out a majestic chant to see if she could do any better but when it was her turn she scritched and squealed as if it was a cry for help it was so bad that the forest animals hid back into the trees and run away because they couldn’t bare to listen to her deafening sound anymore Jeffrey even vomited ranbowies. Jeffrey the unicorn took pity on little princess Leah and sighed as if she wasn’t worthy enough and turned his back on her and walked away
Before he left, Leah was so eager to impress him so she dressed up, bought out some extras to improve her performance and said WAIT! And step on a pedal which raised her up onto a little stage and sang her song again which went
AAAAAAAAAAAA GRAA WAHHHH HAAAAAA AHHHHHH
The music was so loud that stones on the ground started to vibrate and the trees shook her song was so bad that he started to to cry rainbows this time. That’s when Jeffrey had enough and Stomped his hoof so hard that she felled down and her large speakers broke.
Leah started to sob and Jeffrey then felt sorry for her and so he decided to take her for a ride to candyland to make her feel happy.
The End
Here is the link to the video I watched I changed up the story a little bit too
