They had a surprise for our principal Mr burt and it was that he got the award for Community hero he got his own certificate to prove and a 500 dollars gift card.
One of our student Josephine said a thank you speech to the all of the warehouse for their generosity. Because did you know that they also help to pay for some of our trips and camps.
So thank you Warehouse for all of your help along the way we really appreciate it.
Hi Ariana,
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to read that representatives from The Warehouse came to your school to present you, your peers and your teachers with a cheque. It is also lovely to read that they wanted to honour Mr. Burt and the work that he does as principal. It is such a nice reflection on how much the community values the school and wants to support it!
It's really nice to read that you welcomed the visitors with a mihi, karakia and waiata. I always love it when I have the chance to visit a school (or anywhere) that takes the time to formally welcome us. It's such a special experience.
Speaking of special experiences, I hope that you are having a lovely break and enjoying some time with you family before you head back for another great school year. If you are keen to practice your reading and writing skills before you go back, please consider joining our Summer Learning Journey. The website: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/ can be accessed anytime and there are a number of activities available for you to complete. A few of the activities involve learning about languages and, in one activity (Week 2, Day 5), you can practice converting phrases from English into other languages.
If you'd like to check it out, please do! I will be online for another week blogging with students and I'd love to blog with you :)
Cheers,
Rachel
